A sample edit is not compulsory but highly recommended to check our compatibility.
I charge a non-refundable fee of $25 for a sample edit. Once the payment is through, the author can expect their manuscript back within 72 hours, unless discussed otherwise.

2000 words.
Arial.
Double-spaced.
Word/Google doc, whatever you’re comfortable with.
A booking process is one where you secure your spot in my schedule and sign the contract.

A deposit fee of $50 is mandatory to pay for your booking. This is counted as your booking deposit and will be waived off of the final bill. It's non-refundable in case of any cancellations or delays.
You’re requested to send the book a day earlier than your booking date because apparently, I live in the future. Timezones suck!

Full payment will be due before I send over the edited manuscript, as mentioned in the contract.

The author agrees to acknowledge the editing services provided by The Blue Couch Edits in ebook and/or printed published work on the copyright page, listing Zainab M. as Editor.
The listing on the copyright page will contain the name Zainab M. and/or The Blue Couch Edits and the website link: www.thebluecouchedits.com.
